While under "house arrest", I have been going through some unused photos from my library. As I photograph in color, it is somewhat unusual to do conversion to B&W. Tonight I came across a photo that was from an antique store in southern India. While elements of the color photo appear interesting, I didn't think there was enough color differentiation to make the image work so I decided to try B&W. Here are the original and the B&W. Your thoughts and comments appreciated.
I like the B&W better of the two . Would be nice though to maybe give it a brassy sepia tone . Coffee cup in lower right of color foto bugs me .

The coffee cup only appears in the original color. I intentionally removed it when I cropped the photo. I tried the sepia but I didn't think that it works. The B&W looks like a very fine line drawing that an engraver would do. I could have processed the color and enhanced it but I don't think I could have ever gotten to the quality of the B&W
An ideal photo for b/w. Good one. You have many others that work exceptionally well.

Glad you liked my photo. Some images really lend themselves to B&W and with some software processing the photos can become exceptional. Thanks for commenting.
