Well, just a few minutes after sunrise. You don't expect me to go without breakfast, do you?
Actually there are precious few days when you get a good bright sunrise. The air pollution in Agra is horrendous.
Quite an amazing vantage point, even with the cell phone shooters
Looking closely I found the tiny people around the Taj Mahal. It's difficult to comprehend the distance and the size of the mausoleum!

The cell phones are part of the scenery, accept that and you will have a much more pleasant visit. You will never get a picture without tourist and/or cell phones
The size and absolute splendour are mind-blowing. The white marble is translucent so it picks up the colour of the sunlight, the inlaid semi-precious stones twinkle when the light catches them.
The marble was pure white, it still is inside the building, but acidic atmospheric polution has damaged the surface.

Thanks Graham. Called one of the Wonders of the World for a reason!
Nice way to showcase an easily recognized landmark in India. The framing of the Taj Mahal makes it just a bit more pleasant. No social distancing there
The scope of that building is awesome. Nice.

It does not bother me at all that there are people in the shot. We see so many "post card" shots of this building. This, to me, is much more real because there are people trying to do just what you were doing.
