The mystery has been solved and it's not lens flare.
I'll not spoil it for you- go back and read them.

This happens a lot here on the hog!
You only read the first post and put in your $.02.
People are missing out on some great info between the original post and where your answer (or guess) gets posted. Not just this post, but others as well.
Most of us have the time to read now.
Good time to learn a few things.

Well said!!! Absolute truth!!!

And -- when were you last in Baguio? I'm starting my 5th year here, and love it!

Actually your photo does show what look like four fingers right across the photo. I was taught to begin and series of photos, bracketing as well as panoramas. But I was taught to photograph my outstretched hand.

Look more closely! There are three broad bands partially across the frame, each with a brighter top and bottom edge. The top edge of each band is brighter than the bottom, probably because the sun's (stated) position was high in the sky. The bands are of differing lengths - as are fingers!

I see these late posts as replies that are started early in the thread but for some reason are sent only after the question was answered. Not so terrible.

I couldn't begin to answer your question, but see that others have done so. I just want to say that I really enjoyed your first image. It looks like a wonderful day of driving around and stopping at interesting places and recording your time there.

If I read your post properly it sounds as if you are saying they could be fingers.

Now look closely at my post which says FINGERS.

See the rocks bottom right? They are level with the gentleman’s legs. At the right edge of those rocks toward the right side is a fourth finger. Hard to see because of the rocks but easy to see leading toward the rocks from the right. The three fingers on top are easier to see.

I guess it could be my screen - or my eyes, but I don't see a band below the one through the upper part of his body. In any event, the cause certainly does appear to be fingers.
