Hey Architect, New York State just did an impromptu sampling of shoppers across the state and gave them antibody tests for the Wuhan Flu. The state overall had about 13% infected already, but New York City itself was around 21%.
This sounds a little more realistic to me than the Stanford study which was claiming 50 - 80 times the confirmed infection rate. 21% in New York City would be about six times higher than the published confirmed cases, though I think it should probably be even higher than that because they did not test the people who were self-quarantined. Either way, there are certainly many more cases out there that haven't been discovered yet.

I do not trust any crap out of NY.
They lied about ventilators being needed and tons of other things.
Also another test done in LA now is being reported that disputes the NY crap and totally confirms the Stanford test.

My wife just told me she doesn't take much stock in the New York antibody survey either. Says there were too many inaccuracies in the test and the methods.

Maybe so for the east coast. But a huge number of Chinese entered the country on the West coast. Trump closed entrance by chinese. He could not do it just for the. west coast. And no matter what Trump does or does not do you will critisize him

He only blocked Chinese nationals and 40,000 people who were not entered the USA from China.

Trumps travel bans where for Chinese nationals not American citizens and permanent residents.40,000 of them entered the states after after the ban. The same is true of Europe making the Bans pretty much useless . Unless you think only immigrants carried the virus?

It sure didn't help us with the sudden flight of NYC dwellers to their vaca homes here in the Bay state and other New England states. Rhode Island put a stop to that pretty quick...arresting and turning back New Yorkers.
Then there's the pols in Mass....they are more concerned about the patients skin color than their survival.
Mass is one of the meccas of medical devices and there used to be tons of it made here in the Bay State. Unfortunately, that all got offshored over the last 3 decades to various spots around the globe including China.
However, right now, there are plenty of beds for Covid19. You need gallbladder surgery? You might die waiting for them to switch back over.
