Two photos of the picturesque town of La Conner, Washington. The center of town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and sits across the Swinomish Channel from the Swinomish Indian Reservation. These photos were taken from the edge of the channel on the reservation side. The last photo is of Rainbow bridge which connects the town to the reservation. The fishing boats all belong to tribal members. It was a cloudy day and threatened to rain but the rain held off until later that night. It was the first time I have taken a reasonably long drive in over a month. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Thanks for sharing your great images and the info on La Conner, WA. Need to put it on my bucket list.
I assume I would fly into Bellingham International Airport from Chicago?

Thanks Stan. For miles around it's a beautiful part of Washington State. Bellingham would work or Paine Field in Everett which just recently began passenger service.

Not far from La Conner are Deception Pass State Park, Deception Pass Bridge and some wonderful local beaches.

The whole area from the Canadian border to Seattle area, although Puget Sound, is very picturesque as other Hogs have indicated. La Conner is just one small piece in the puzzle.

It is indeed. Photo opportunities abound in this part of Washington State - and frankly, in just about every other part of the state as well.
