That looks like a very makeshift seat he's sitting on. I get the impression that as a people they're used to doing without luxuries.

The people of India are resourceful and ingenious people. They never throw anything away, they repair everything, then they repair the repairs ad infinitum. Most of this work is done on the streets.

Should you get a chance to travel further you will find this is true of most third world countries. Asians are particularly adept at converting what others discard into something that is useful. Millions live in houses made from waste tin sheets the odd packing case and discarded tarps.

I can't help thinking that your photos of India would make a great photo book. We're lucky to get these views. I don't think I'll ever get to India; but I love seeing your photos from a place I know nothing about.

Thank you, Erich, I always think that one of the biggest benefits we get from photography is to be able to see places and things that we would probably never get the chance to see.

I am hoping to recover enough to make one last visit to India in January/February 2021

Thank you Toleman, I am aware that the make do and mend attitude exists in many other countries.
