This is one of my selections of favorite shots from my library. This was taken in a hotel library in Chennai, India. I had been photographing the hotel pool when I saw the sign "Library". As I stepped inside I saw a father and daughter slightly off to the side engaged in a conversation. I was going to see what an image I could make of the pool when shot through the window. It was then that I noticed the boy sitting on the couch with his face obscured by his laptop. I immediately saw the shot but hesitated because I don't like to photograph children without their parents consent. However, I knew I had the smallest of windows to make the capture and since you couldn't see the boys face I thought my ethical and legal obligations did not prohibit the shot. This all happened within 2 seconds.
I had a difficult time coming up with an appropriate caption. I eventually settled on "Go to your room!" I am open to suggestions for an alternative.
