The boredom of being trapped in my house, has caused me to look at Ebay for excitement, and I ended up with a used Canon 5D miv. I would like to get some good reference books for the camera, all I can find on Amazon is David Busch's book..... Just wondering if that was a good one, and if there are any others you guys recommend? THANKS

Years ago when I got my Canon 5Ds I also purchased a "how to" book written by Douglas J. Klosterman -- Bottom line = Excellent -- Pretty sure he also authored similar writings for the 5D Mk4

I’m only seeing it for Kindle:
https://www.amazon.com/Canon-Mark-Experience-Photography-Operation-ebook/dp/B01MXLT53P https://www.amazon.com/Canon-Mark-Experience-Photography-Operation-ebook/dp/B01MXLT53P

A friend finally moved up from the “Classic” (old) MK1 recently, so I’m interested.
We bought it for her to shoot our daughter's wedding, which has been postponed.

Don’t know if my friend prefers a real book or virtual.

Have you downloaded the manual from Canon? It's actually quite good and should answer many of your questions. I would spend some time with it first, if you haven't already. What you learn from it will make it easier to understand what other books will teach you. You may even find you don't need to spend money on other books.

I have the Busch book for the 5D MkIV. I usually try to btain his books (if available) fr any camera I own. I am very satisfied. They are definitely easier to use than the Canon manuals.

I know you asked about a book on the 5D Mark IV, but I would also highly recommend the on-line course at creativelive.com - specifically the "Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Fast Start" course. While I'm stuck at home anyway I found this course to be very well presented, organized, and complete. The Course is actually a total of six hours and five minutes, and is well paced so you can do a few "lessons", take a break, play with you camera, then start more lessons the next day. The course is by John Greengo, and has a lot of photography information related to the use of different settings and controls.
