In this time of quiet, I have decided to post what I regard as some of my best photos of recent years. Todays offering is from Varanasi, India in 2017. While learning the Ganges River, I came across these two guys in a very serious discussion. My caption is "My advice, wear socks"

Bob, I love how a good caption can make a photo memorable. Must be used sparingly but it can really establish the theme for the photo. Thanks for your generous comments.

Help me out. Three times I have posted pictures within the last week around 11-11:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. I first posted in the Gallery and then in General Topics. In all cases my initial posts disappeared within a matter of minutes. I don't know how the clock runs in Gallery but I know nothing stays more than a day and then it is deleted. Is there a time you can post so that you might have up to 24 hours on the site before the deletion? I only posted in Topics because in the past I have seen my items in Topics moved to Gallery. Can you explain the timing or how the administration works?

First of all they weren't deleted. If you click on the "My Topics" link at the top of the page you will find them. Second, there are many people posting and the posts are in chronological order. Because of that it doesn't take long for a post to be pushed to page 2, or 3, or so on.
