This is an expired Horse Fly that I found that was in pretty rough shape so I posed for a focus stacked session to show its "biting part". If you've ever been bit by one of these rascals you know that it hurts like the dickens and now you can see why when you see the sharp tooth like fang that they have.

Tinusbum, the deer flies hurt like the dickens too. I imagine that they have a similar dagger to stab for blood.
