According to a couple of articles I have read it seems the 'amateur' porn is on the rise in specialized sites.

It seems that those who have lost jobs are finding ways to make money selling pictures of themselves naked or even chat unclothed. This concerns both men and women.

So far it is mostly 'soft porn' and done with the consent of participation of the 'mate'.

Times have changed. Back in the 20's (the 1920's) when times got particularly hard with a growing family in the hills of W.Va., my Grandmother made a little home brew. She was as devout a Catholic as you could find and she hated to do it. My Dad was a young boy and he would deliver the goods to Grandma's customers. One day the youngest daughter (of 9) was home alone and two Treasury men came by. They told her to let her parents know they'd been by. That ended Grandma's days as a brewer and Dad's as a hooch runner. The T men never did come back.

My home county they used to tell the depression era story about the moonshine still run by some local ministers and a doctor - they used it for fuel for their cars to make house calls. That was one still the County Sheriff never could seem to find. And the sheriff never seemed to have trouble finding fuel for his car. ??????????

Have you considered that they might not actually have been Treasury men? There were a lot of shady people making a living off alcohol in those days and they might just have wanted to reduce the competition.

Entrepreneurial and brilliant.
Why not, no harm done and becomes a source of income.

When I was a small kid I had asthma. My dad was the Chief of Police in the medium size town. He would get white liquor, (moonshine) and put peppermint candy in for me to use like cough syrup. I eventually outgrew the asthma, but sometimes still get a small cough and same remedy. Go figure!

Funny. Sad to see a bit of initiative squelched that way.

When my grandfather finally got laid off from the L&N Railroad in the 30's, he turned to haulin' 'shine to help make ends meet. And he wasn't alone. He and one of the deputy sheriffs delivered hooch all around Larue County, KY. This was after Prohibition ended, but the "Baptists" and moonshiners voted to keep the county "dry" because it benefited each of them.

He also made money by crafting nickels into rings. He got $.25 for each one, and only used a piece of pipe, a hammer and a piece of rail (his anvil).

You did what you had to do to support your family.

I've read that this current situation with COVID-19 has been very good for porn sites.
