First I've seen of this species. He was slurping sugar water from our hummingbird feeder in Alameda California, and came back repeatedly. I think that long downcurved beak that narrows at the end enabled him to do what most songbirds can't.

Orioles love the nectar. They make over sized feeders just for them. I have a few coming to my humming bird feeders on a regular basis. They ignored the Oriole feeder I bought for the hummingbird feeders and the Oriole feeder had large holes that bees crawled into and then drowned in the nectar, so I got rid of it.
