Yeah, I had one crawling on my neck a couple months ago. I took a couple shots of it and posted to the UHH. Someone Id'ed it as an Assassin Bug nymph.
That is an odd-looking bug, all right.
Its one of the leaf-footed bugs, genus Acanthocephala. They are easily mistaken for an assassin bug, but these are vegetarian. They just feed on plant sap.
I agree with Mark. We have an abundance of Leaf Footed Bugs here and yours is a nymph that will look quite different when it matures.
