Good on her. She will be giving most of them away, not hoarding.
My wife is also making masks for our DiL's hospital. Elastic is going quick and taking up to 2-4wks to get more. Same style.
Nice. Can you get replacement filters?
Since we have cancelled our 50th anniversary trip to the South Pacific she gave me the tropical scene one. Thoughtful. Had my heart set on that jaunt. Maybe next year.

No. These are just multiple fabric layers. Not medical grade. They need to go through wash after each use. She’s making kid sizes too for family and friends with little ones. Better than nothing. I appreciate her efforts.
If your selling them I'll take five and pay postage. But NOT the one Terry modeled

No she is not selling them. Thus far taking care of family and close friends with grandkids. Gals are doing this in a lot of locales. Somebody in your area should be up to the same I’d think.
Can you get wife Terry to show a step by step??
Many wives can sew!!

She got a pattern someplace. I’ll ask. I think there’s several on the web, you tube, etc.

If you have any bungy(sp?) cords they are full of elastic. Just split woven outer cover length wise to expose.
She does not recall which pattern she went with. She said just search for mask patterns and there’s lots of choices to view. Because of a shortage of elastic she purchased some wider than needed and is splitting the strips in half lengthwise to double her supply.
She is doing things like mailing them to friends and relatives as far away as NYC.

What about elastic from (freshly washed & bleached clean) undies?
My wife also made masks last week. Her addition was to add a piece of 'pipe cleaner' to the top seam. Then when the user puts the mask on, the user can 'mold' the mask around/across the bridge of the nose for a tighter fit. Also, small elastic hair bands can be used in place of elastic strip materials.
Stay away, stay safe.
Here is a link about suitable mask materials. My wife has made some 50 masks for a local clinic. Narrow 1/4 inch elastic has been sold out, but the fabric shop had lots of 3 inch elastic from which she cut what worked.
