I agree with you, Frank. But, what if you are living your life full out, balls to the wall, and you also believe that something even better awaits you in eternity. Do they have to be mutually excludible?

Ah, but Frank, that's only part of it. I didn't even mention the blessings that come from a relationship with God in this life.

A lesson to learn from Covid-19

Tomorrow is not promised, but eternity is.

It is appointed unto man once to die (Hebrews 9:27) But after death comes resurrection and eternal life to those who have repented and believed in Jesus Christ.

Our daily lives have certainly been interrupted. One of my fb friends has suffered a death in her family. I have two children who are seriously ill, although not from Covid-19. We are shuttered within our homes. Many within our families have lost income. Retirement savings are down. It's difficult to find needed items and even scary to go to the grocery store. Our perspectives on life have suddenly been jolted. It is a good time to think about spiritual and eternal things and realize that when it comes down to that scariest thing of all, the specter of death, Jesus Christ conquered death for us all....which, of course, is what Easter is all about. Thank God for sending His Son to save us all.

Hopefully he isn't so disgusted with us and our behavior that he will save us again.

I think we all knew the "miracle" that Trump hoped for was another lie: and that this Easter stuff was more of his useless rhetoric. So, save for divine intervention, we are on our own.
Good Luck to you too.

Hope is a lie in your opinion but not mine.

Steve I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's illness. I pray that God will heal them and release you from the burden. This virus is enough of a burden for all of us. Extra burdens do not help. But I am sure He will give you His blessings. Peace be with you and your family.

I suggest you gather as many people as you can find to speak to them directly on a one-to-one basis to explain what the kingdom of heaven has for them when they die because you gathered them together in a large group.

Another ridiculous post from you. You never fail to disappoint.

But while on the subject please explain why it is that atheists or non religious people such as yourself feel the need to attack other's beliefs. You don't believe in the Man in the Sky theory??? Great! Nobody is forcing you to believe anything. But why the need to tell me/us that what we believe is wrong. Why is our belief such a threat to you? Please don't tell me you have hundreds of religious people banging on your door day and night. I will tell you you are full of shit. I am a Christian and don't have anything like that happening. When someone does knock on my door I tell them I am a Christian and don't believe in what they believe in. They say thank you and walk away. If it is a problem then put up a sign. If you have friends who try to persuade you to become a Christian you surely have the right to tell them you are not interested.

Yet you and others feel the need to put down my beliefs, my convictions toward Christ and his teachings. Why would you do that? You don't like it...then don't do it. Simple.

Say what you will about any alt rightie but your depravity rears its ugly head - again. Anytime you voice concern over people's lives it rings hollow.

I think people should be permitted to make their own fatal errors. Who am I to stop them. One bright spot is that the evangelicals may meet their god. Good for them!

Here in the real world we still call that DEFLECTION. You know, a common term for you on the Left who haven't the brains or common sense to answer a simple question. Such is your lot in life to not even be able to explain your own personal actions against someone's faith.

You are allowed to make yours for all to see. You are an exemplary example for all to see of one of the ills that plagues our country. And you're proud of your depravity. That is tragic.
