its close to Fort Myers, the two islands are connected by a toll bridge, Sanibel and Captiva....

NMGal, if you like Clouds, Sunrises and Sunsets you will be in heaven. the beaches are superb.

Called the Barrier Islands. S.to N. Sanibel,Capitva,N.Captiva, Cayo Costa, and Gasparilla Island.
This string of islands protects Charlotte Harbor. Charlotte Harbor is home to lots of fish,critters,etc. Tarpon the most well known. Tarpon come in from Gulf of Mexico to breed in Charlotte Harbor. Boca Grande Pass is the "avenue" used by Tarpon going into Charlotte Hbr. The Pass is between Boca and Cayo Costa.
My bro has a lovely beach front house on Sanibel. Looks out onto the Gulf o Mexico.

A beautiful set. Captiva is indeed a beautiful place. We vacationed at Sanibel every November for over 20 years. It always included a couple of trips over to Captiva. We enjoyed dinner at The Bubble Room and at the Mucky Duck and lunches at RC Otters. Good times!
