Eastern Tent Caterpillars, Malacosoma americanum. Family, Lasiocampidae.
Webworms in the family Yponomeutidae.
Tent caterpillars lay eggs on twigs.
They build 'tents' in branch junctions.
Webworms spin on branch tips, usually lay eggs on bark.
To control if a pest, use bleach. A squirt bottle or a pump up,
garden centers have both.
Wear old clothes or a Tyvek suit and eye protection
Have a hose, turned on, near.
Time to start is now.
Early in AM, before they leave to feed. Nest and larva small, two or three sprays of bleach shot onto the nest.
The hairs on the Caterpillar and the nest is silk. End of the colony.
Watch for colonies starting in late summer. Repeat until you see few or none.

Stellar catch and very well taken.
Wow, I'll say they are back. Nice shot.
They feed on Malus and Prunus species - crabapple and wild cherry trees.
