Lonesome Cowboy

I shot this when photographing a group of cowboys and two kids while they were moving a herd of cows in New Mexico. I thought it looked better in b/w. I cropped it so it would not be the normal print size. I think it catches peoples eye quicker when it is not the standard size on display.

I guess you may be right there- or politically correct as they say now. But the name 'Drover & Herder" didn't sound good to Hollywood. The original use of Cowboy was bands of Troys in upstate New York who specialized in rustling "Cows". Cowboy in slang today means 'W reckless" in cattle work to be reckless was to get hurt badly of die - no room for that on that job.
"Cowpoke & Cowpuncher" came from the name given men who used long sticks to probe and punch cows into milking stalls long before the big beef herds and then cattle from loading pens up into box cars on trains.
