Lens Filter Storage - Organized

Wondering how you store your lens filters when you are not in the field.

I have collected quite a few filters from 49mm to 77mm. I have several pouches that can hold those that I am using on field trips. That is not the issue.

I want to be able to store and organize them at home so that I can easily select the proper size and type to take on a shoot.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I utilize screw on metal end caps and stack them, I don't often want to take all of the stack but have found that keeping them together causes less problem in the long run.

Yep, Me too. I use aluminum marking pen for those that labeled on the inside or hard to read. Those metal caps are not expensive on E-Bay.

I mentioned to a neighbor that we were having problems in the mid east... "Oh My, my mother lives in North Carolina!!"

You can also try picking up one of the old 3.5" floppy disk cases at a yard sale. The plastic dividers could be labeled with type and size.

I group them by size and use the screw on end caps; then store the whole lot in a couple of nifty router bit storage cases I bought from WoodworkerÂ’s Supply, Inc. http://woodworker.com/small-router-bit-storage-box-mssu-116-741.asp?search=router bit storage&searchmode=2
