Navigating Challenging Times Together / Temporary Store Closing
To the B&H Community:

We hope this note finds you and your family safe as the health crisis impacts our communities.

B&H has always been made special by people – our employees and our customers -- and the relationships we have built over 47 years. With the spread of this pandemic, we want you to know that there is no higher priority for us than the safety of our team and community.

As a result, we’ve decided to temporarily close the B&H New York City SuperStore from Monday March 16th through Saturday March 28th. Our main focus is to keep you and every member of our team feeling safe, healthy, and supported during these difficult times.

Actions we are taking:
Closely following guidelines from the CDC and other public health agencies, as well as guidelines from the city, state, and federal government
Paying and providing all benefits to affected store employees through 3/28
Implementing a work from home protocol for our office employees beginning on 3/17
Taking aggressive steps to minimize risk at our warehouses
Our online and telephone channels as well as store pickup of online orders remain open for business as usual, which will continue as long as we can do so safely. Our sales and customer service teams are available to answer your questions via phone, email, or chat (though likely they will be working from home). You can email us at cs@bhphoto.com.

To our Corporate, Government, and Education B2B customers: all of our e-Procurement portals are fully operational.

Please reach out to us if you have concerns or questions we can help with. And as always, thank you for your support and trust in B&H as we navigate these challenging times together.

Thank you,

Mail order still works, think about it, an unknowingly infected person touches a bunch of cameras...

B&H doing the right thing in these times of trying to contain the CoronaVirus. We of the photography world salute you, job well done.
No need for your employees to be exposed to the virvus and take it home to their families and neighborhood or expose your customers to the virvus.

We are doing everything possible to make sure our warehouse is safe and clean for our employees and our customers. Thanks to those here who expressed their support.

So if you purchase anything during this time, spray some kinder of disinfectant over each layer as part of your unboxing procedure.

But isn't the shelf life of the virus outside a host something like 6-12 hours? I mean, the extra precaution is comforting, but unless you are picking up locally, the mail system should work in our favor.

Depends on the virus.
I have heard that this is a hardy one.
Research exists showing this kind of virus can live outside the body for as long as 9 days.

I've been reading more recently that it may be as much as two to three days.
