80% Of Antibiotics And Other Medications Come From China

I was surprised, when I saw on the TV News, that 80% of all antibiotics, that Americans use come from China. And there is concern about this, especially since it has been announced, Coronavirus is now Pandemic. Also, pain pills, such as ibuprofen, and severe pain prescription drugs. That's dependence that should be changed. People can do without toilet paper for a while. But, not needed prescription drugs.

I heard it was more like 97%, and that China was threatening to cut the US off from antibiotics and other medications that we so depend upon. How our politicians over the years allowed such a thing to happen is reprehensible. The Chinese are not and have never been our friends.

I agree this country needs to be much more self-reliant. I agree that China is not our friend. But, why would the Chinese ever threaten to shut off the drugs shipped here? The loss in income for them would be huge. It would be a market they would never recover. We hear these conspiracy theories and seemingly automatically accept them. Why we do not question the illogical ramblings that are put out there is beyond me. Question things, people! Especially, don’t put out trash that will scare many people who also should be questioning whether this tripe deserves any credibility whatsoever. Irresponsible rumor mongering is not what this country needs at this point in time.

Think of this!!!! If we ever were in an armed combat--war-- with china, when they cut off all shipments of everything--they willbring us to our knees. Without ever fireing a single shot. Face it folks--China owns us. WE had better start making our own stuff. Our lives depend upon it. Blame it on previous presidents as well as trump. But Trump is the first president to even began a fair trade deal with China. Obama, Bush, Clinton allowed China to be able to control our economy. It's our fault. China took advantage of our stupidity and our greed.

I said it before and I say it again. Bring it all back; between Mexico the US and Canada we can manufacture everything we need right here. So what if we have to pay more. We would never be put in this situation again.
