BS, the Influenza has killed over 20,000 people this season in the U.S. alone. The Coronavirus has killed around ONLY 4,300 worldwide this season and has NO vaccinations unlike Influenza which does.

It is apparent that because the President was caught flat footed and initially downplayed the seriousness of this virus, it’s impact on people’s lives, and the economy; his supporters now feel compelled to adhere to the same misguided approach.
This is not the flu, it is far worse. There is no cure for this virus.
Second to that, the comparisons to past pandemics do nothing to help our current situation.

"The flu" isn't "a" virus. It is a different virus almost every year. I believe it has something to do with asians, birds, and swine. If the flu didn't mutate every year we would probably have a close to perfect vaccine by now. Capitalism plays a role also. Apparently vaccines aren't very profitable compared to many other drugs.
