I donate my electronics to Peachtree Computer. They will repair/refurb and sell what can be sold. What can't be fixed and used is responsibly recycled.

I'm enjoying my one year old iMac. But here's my question. I have an iMac, G-5 to be specific, from 2005. It still works perfectly with the software on it. Newest software, (to the best of my knowledge) won't work on it.
Since it is fully operational, I don't know what best to do with you. That is why I thought I'd ask you all what functions you might have found for your older computers.
I thank you in advance for your ideas.

The latest OSX that will run is "Tiger".
Unless you have one of the super duper dual G5 made in their last year. Then it's "Leopard".
Yeah, sure, with the max 8gb ram and replacing the HDD with a 120gb SSD (max) "Snow Leopard"
is doable. "Running" may be a misnomer, but it'll load and work.
Some folk have found G4 and G5 specific Linux distros, but aren't all really reliable.
For G4s and G5s, I have found a company called "LaserHive" in England to be very helpful.

A real PITA to do these. But kinda worthwhile.
PS: You'll need a real Dremel to fix these right.
