Millipede

I found a curled up Millipede in the basement and I blew the dust off it and staged it for a focus stack session. Rain with thunder today so it is nice to have something to do indoors.

As always, thanks in advance to all those who view and for your comments, suggestions, questions and critique.

I hadn't before noticed the pattern in their eyes, your post sent me off to look for more information about them. I learned that they have very poor sight and tend to use their antennae to feel their position but you would already know that.

Thanks, Brenda. And thanks for the interesting tidbit about their eyes. I know very little about the insect world other than to always be amazed at what I see when photographed under magnification.

Thanks, Jeff. I'm getting some practice time in with a new 1X to 5X macro lens and I've got a way to to with it before I get ready for trips to the field.

Thanks, setting up the very tiny subjects is both a physical as well as a mental challenge.
