Up in the night again, but not soon enough. As I read your post, I thought "My daughter in North Carolina would love to have this camera." She eschews digital. Her Nikon D7100 sits in her old closet downstairs, unused. Oh well, thanks for posting and for the generous offer.
(It's been too many years but) Is that the model with the shutter release on in front? If so, it's a dadgummed work horse. You could probably use it for a hammer in an emergency and still get great images. I set mine down on a rock in Letchworth State Park and it got kicked over a ridge. It fell probably 5-10' bounced, slid another couple more feet before stopping in some loose gravel/dirt. It took a while to figure out how to get it, and I figured it was a goner. Nope, small dent in the side, scrape s on the top, and slight chunk out of the lens focusing ring. Everything still worked. Man, a modern camera couldn't take that abuse. :)
I'm pretty sure my old Nikon F would make a dandy hammer in an emergency too. Just sayin'...

The "G", Sensomat and the Sensorex all had front release , great cameras, gave mine to my daughter for a display in her study,
Miranda Sensomat - my first SLR in the late 60s. Sold it a few years later when my career and relationships became the focus of my time. Won a Sensomat RE on eBay in a nostalgia driven impulse about a year ago - the camera looked like it hadn’t been used since new. I had forgotten how heavy that camera was! Not a piece of plastic on it anywhere. The front shutter release seems novel these days. If you can find one, there is a regular looking shutter button that screws into the top cable release socket.
Stan
I have an old Practika that has a front shutter release.

I had a Miranda G.
Poor man’s Nikon F.
Wish I had it just for sentimental reasons.
I shot this with it and a Soligor 100 or 105 when I was 17:

I have the Miranda Sensorex also with 28, 50 and 135 mm lenses. As already stated they were a tremendous camera. Their optics were rated as good as Nikon at the time. I might add also that they were made in Japan, but they were American owned. Back in the time I was entering a lot of my work in competitions and and I was always being askes what equipment I used because they could not believe how sharp my images always were.
