I really enjoy being part of this community and find the topics entertaining and often amusing.
I took up photography when I retired but spend more time on post processing than taking new shots.
I am about to ditch my Canon DSLR and buy the Panasonic FZ200. I know I won't get the quality shots of a DSLR but I need to get out more shooting without a heavy camera bag.

LOL - Nice photo. I dropped my Nikon D5100 in favor of a Nikon P510 and a companion Canon SX40 HS. Don't miss the D5100 a bit. Neck feels better also.

Welcome friend and don't totaly ditch the canon. Take the Panosonic for your daily travels, but keep the big guy handy for the times you really want it

I agree. It's one thing to have a camera and not use it very often but it's a totally different thing to not have it when you want/need it.

Welcome borderline. Love the helmet. Have my lumix. Fz200 for about a week. Still constantly checking manual. So far , love it. Nothing bad to say . Again welcome.

Hi BorderlineUK, welcome to the hog. first, your shot is great. second, why trade your good camera in for one that is not as good. If you are going to carry just a camera, keep yours, and put the camera bag away, and just carry your camera. Dont cut your nose off just to spite your face. lol. Put the lens you like to use best on the camera and just carry it....not the bag. Oh, and start posting so we can enjoy your shots also .
