Cameta Camera. Is the store officially "dead"?

NJphotodoc Loc: Now in the First State

It's been a while since the store closed down and we were told there were new owners who where going to reopen the store soon. That was before Xmas and the online placeholder hasn't changed. I drove down Sunrise Highway past the brick and mortar store and if they are going to reopen soon it certainly doesn't look like it.
Does anyone have any factual update for the store's future? I was a loyal customer both when I lived on Long Island and after I moved to NJ. They had great great prices, a fantastic staff and never a problem with backing up their products.

They are scheduled to reopen on March 14th. Could be due to reorganization. According to the internet, for what that is worth.
It is also reported that a new web site is coming. Be patient grasshopper, looks like the future is bright for Cameta Camera.

I went to their website last month when I was looking for a refurbished Olympus O-MD E-M5II. Wound up getting one from Roberts Camera instead. I had gotten a number of items from Cameta before and I hope they reopen with the same great prices...

I was a loyal customer also. Thanks for the update. I too had wondered when they would reopen. They were a very good camera store. Hope they will still do business like before.
