This is a face view of my preserved Red Carpenter Ant that I staged for a focus stacking session.

As always, thanks in advance to all who view and for your comments, suggestions, questions and critique.

Thanks, Mark. In a short time I'll be out and about although until then I'll keep busy with tabletop macro.

Thanks, Tinusbum. Not one of the famous, "Texas Fire Ants" so I'll leave those for your postings.

Those little buggers are nasty. We were in southern Arkansas last year and when we parked the RV I moved a few boards that were laying on the ground by the power pole. There was a nest of fire ants there and before I could even toss the board a few of them got me and the blisters hurt like the dickens for several days.

He has a comical face, made me smile. Good stack though.

Thanks, Brenda. He really does look a lot like a comic character.
