A few days ago when I posted photos of the Mesa Arch someone asked about the Washer Woman Arch. For sure, with the light conditions then, it didn't show up. So I decided to show you some photos I took about 40 years ago where the Washer Woman is very visible. Light and shadows make the difference.

I goofed and this got away from me before I could mention Angel Arch. When I guided my friends to this great Arch over 35 years ago, at first sight of the arch, Rosalyn exclaimed, "This arch will be on my headstone!" I thought, "Oh yah." But now Angel Arch IS on their headstone! Recently I discovered another grave marker not far from theirs that has a similar picture of the Rainbow Bridge. Did we start something? Luen
What a great set. You were really good even then. Love the composition on all of them.
Really enjoyable set. Thank you!
Many thanks for some great photos.
Wow. Your third shot makes great use of light and shadow. and is really dramatic. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful images, Luen...I really like your Washer Woman captures. I always try to include her when taking a series of Mesa Arch.

I thank all of you for your kind words, but it was oure luck in being at the arch at the right time for the right shadows.
