Oh, I'm so excited..!!! I walked the yard looking for signs of Spring and I actually found some. Our shrubs are starting to green back up. Dead leaves still remain on the lawn in places. The tiniest little dots of purple and blue are starting to dot the lawn. The Purple Dead-Nettles are starting to bloom...AND...my first critter of the year is a tiny ant crawling on the Purple Dead-Nettle.
I didn't catch the tiny purple blossom in the best focus at 3X magnification although right now I will take whatever I can get. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'll set up a little tripod to see if I can get it in full focus.
You are way ahead of us. I see your Speedwell is blooming. I remember from the virtual tour of your yard last year.
I promised Spring, and I will deliver.

Oh, Mike, thank you ever so much and I've learned a lot about the beauty of my "natural yard" (who needs all of that perfect manicured all green anyway). I have an explosion of Purple Dead-Nettles although I could only find a few with an inkling of a bloom on them. The ant crawling around was a pleasant surprise, much like the "cherry on top" as is often said.
I probably won't sleep tonight as I lay awake thinking about tomorrows walk around and my trip to my secret spot tomorrow to see how it is greening out.
Ain't it great, sippy? Keep taking those walks.

Thanks, Kpmac. I checked my mailbox today and I found a sample of that warmer weather you sent to me which was just enough to start things popping here.
Yes I agree, Spring is very welcome. We have loads of daffodils, some crocuses and trees budding. I am waiting for the insects to come.

Oh, Brenda. I truly enjoy your findings for you do them so well with the mastery of the lighting you do.
Nice! With the tripod you can do some quick stacks by moving the focus ring. At f8 or so. That last flower would be easy pickings, if done without a breeze disturbing things.
I was also wondering if your newer camera had built in focus bracketing. Seems a good time to ask...
