Still experimenting with the new lens along with how to arrange the illumination and diffusion with it. Starting off with lower magnification and then working my way up in power as the subjects get smaller. My preserved Cicada makes a willing and rightsize subject for these experiments at this stage of the learning curve.

Thanks, Brenda. I'm in the early stages of experimenting so it will take me several sessions before I get things dialed in and I will enjoy the challenges along the way.
I caught this one last summer and it is in my preserved collection now. It was stuck on a tree and I suspect it was going to molt.
