So B&H offers an in-store credit card that when you use it, they will pay the sales tax. Sounds like a great idea until you start reading the fine print.

B&H will pay the tax,but just be sure you pay off the balance on the first payment, the APR is 29.99% with a minimum credit charge of $2.00.

It's still a good deal considering you would be paying 9% or more for tax, but if you plan on financing anything, you might want to use a card with a better interest rate.

Just saying

You do have an interest free period of up to one year to pay off your purchase. If you can't pay it off in time you shouldn't use the card.

I used it once and went to pay it off with my "real" credit card and they would not accept payment from a credit card. It may have been ignorance about not being able to pay off one credit card with another.
I applied for the card in anticipation of a major purchase.
You are right, you have to pay it off right away or the 29% kicks in.

I went in knowing the ramifications. Bought a Pro-100 and saved $30 with every intention of paying the balance when due. But you're right if you need the time to pay for your purchases, there are better options.
