FYI - All I get from this URL is an "Error 404", which denotes a currently non-existent web address.

The URL works for me, but seems to be a site for flashlight filters.

Interesting! I’m no internet whiz, but I wonder whether there is some sort of bias caused either by one's own ISP (Internet Service Provider) or own computer (+/- LAN) itself. I’m going to ask just a few people in different parts of the U.S. to try this URL that dpullum posted* just to see what kind of results are obtained. My Boston area ISP is Comcast.

What’s your ISP, JohnSwanda (in S.F., I presume)?

With respect to dpullum's subsequent post that my ISP is probably "overloaded", is that a condition that can exist chronically? I ask because it STILL produces the same result YET seemingly instantaneously whisks one to virtually every site I click on (with my laptop) or touch with my iPads and iPhone.

* The URL in question is: http://budgetlightforum.com/node/41697

So I ask you as well, dpullum, what’s your ISP (in Florida, I presume)?

Thank you,
lev29

I use their "Enhanced Color" filter (665nm) and that seems like the perfect description to me.
Honestly, and I trust you understand that we are engaging in what should be harmless banter, your response sounds like mine back in 2011 or so when I converted my Sony A100, a dSLR, to "Color Infrared" by placing an internal filter with a 650 nm cutoff. (Digital Silver Imaging did the conversion for me.) For awhile I went around saying, "Color Infrared" as if it were the only label one could give it. Frankly, my doing so did not truly convey what it was and it was provincial of me to call it just that.

In summary, I say "poh tay toe" and you say "poh tah toe", except that when it comes to cutoff filters, as opposed to bandpass filters, my designations are a bit closer to being universally understood, that’s all.

(And yes, I did live in San Francisco for a year; love your city!)

The site is running under the Drupal content management system - it's intended to make dynamic web page generation easier. That being said there are lots of reasons it might generate a 404 error - based on what everyone else has said it probably due to insufficient server capacity for the current load.

I think you might be correct! <3 minutes ago, I finally got through with dpullum's URL!
I'm curious. IF it's not asking too much, how did you obtain the information that this "site is running under the Drupal content management system"?

Ultimately, it appears that you were correct. But what I found most informative was the existence of this website! Thank you for posting it.

All browsers have a function that is called "Web Inspector" (actual name varies with the browser). That function will show you the HTML of the page your on - usually there's some reference to the system the page is running on.
