Everyone knows this impeachment was more a political tool and the thinnest of any in history. And it signals a dangerous trend in our politics going forward. With all that in mind, the right thing to do was to vote against this impeachment. Principled Democrats should have voted against it too. Anyone with historical perspective can see this now. Ask Jonathan Turley. This doesn't show courage for Romney. It shows an incapacity for him to see and appreciate the big picture of what's best for the country. It will not get better for Romney going forward.
To me it shows Romney is as dumb as the Dems.

I know a few dems who feel that the president did something wrong, as in the phone call was not perfect as the president so claims but they do not feel that what he did rises to the level of impeachment. The dems over shot on this and I would even go so far as to question Romney's full understanding of the law and the circumstances, if a person thinks that the Biden's were clean as a new whistle, then they really have a bigger problem than the republicans who voted for acquittal.
