I bought this to use with my Tamron 150-600 but have been taking more portrait/landscape photo's lataely and am going to a ball head. The fluid dampening works well. It has alway's functioned flawlessly.

Payment by PayPal.

$200.00 shipped to Lower 48.

Is this the legit model distributed by MT Shooter or the straight from China model you see on Ebay and Amazon? They are not exactly the same - MT's is modified and improved.

I bought one straight from China. 100% compatible with Arca Swiss. The Nest is NOT fluid dampened. It is that nasty sticky grease that makes it feel fluid dampened. The first thing I did was taking this stuff out and replacing it with grease that is not temperature depending. The original grease and low temperature is not a good combination when trying to follow a bird in flight....

What grease did you use. I have that problem on a cheap promaster gimbal. Left the gimbal in back of the seat in my truck all summer, Temp on the mirror says 114*F when I open the door. Some of the grease leaked out & now it doesn't turn as easy & smooth as it use to. Was thinking of using a ball bearing grease made by Exon. Thanks for any response in advance!

Did you purchase this Gimbal from MT Shooter at Camera Cottage?

I used TSL EP-2 grease. Dropping point 260 degrees Celcius.

Other brands will be supplying this grease as well. just mind the dropping point...

The dampening effect will be gone. Proper balancing prior to using it is (and was) important. In return you get a very smooth operating Gimbal head. You can adjust the friction internally. Make sure you use Loctite once you found the proper friction. You can open the Gimbal head by putting a strong suction cup on the logo plate (or use decent double sided tape and the lid of a tiny spray can upside down) and pull on one side. The logo plate will come off easily without damage.

Last part is not for you as you don't own the Nest

Its none of my business , but your gimbal appears to be a carbon fibre gimbal , that is a nice plus many people might not see that ,I would at the least advertise that feature . Just trying to help...

I would like to buy the Gimbal if it hasn't been sold.

I have been using one for a few years. Yes when it sits a while it gets a little stiff - like a lot of moving things do. When I get ready to use it I just rotate the head 3 or 4 revolutions and swing every other moving part a little, it loosens up and doesn't go stiff for a few days. If I lived somewhere cold that might not be the result - but if I lived somewhere cold I would have bought the Arctic model.

I was asking because I am thinking of getting a second one for my other long lens set up or my wife who is "sorta" "when the spirit moves her" learning something beyond snapshots.
