Sigma APO 70-300mm f:4-5.6 macro lens. I know very little about Canon cameras or Canon-mount lenses, but I need to find a new home for this one. A friend of a friend of mine ordered it and it will not work on his particular Canon camera. His LED readout said something about "not reading" or something along those lines. Eventually, I ended up with the lens. I'm not familiar with Canon cameras or lenses.... so.... I'm really in the dark here, as you can see.

I've been told that it will only work on a Canon EOS 350D. Someone else said a "Canon EF." Who's to say?

Here is what I found out about the lens: https://www.imaging-resource.com/lenses/sigma/70-300mm-f4-5.6-dg-macro-apo/review/

(I have the very same lens, only in a Pentax K mount and I love it. It will shoot very sharp 1:2 macro and produces beautiful bokeh.)

The lens is as clean as the photos would indicate.... maybe even more so. There is no haze or fungus and only very minimal dust. Cosmetically, it looks pristine.

So.... I have no idea what it's worth or what camera it will work on. I'm in a pickle. IF it will work on a particular model Canon camera and perform as advertised, I think it would be worth at least $75.00, wouldn't you think? But, that's a very BIG F!

So.... I'll take $50.00 + $20.00 shipping and if it doesn't work out for you, I'll give you a full refund, shipping included. I don't know how much more fair I can be than that, eh?

So: $50.00 + $20.00 shipping (it's a heavy case and lens!) UPS only, lower 48 states.
Pay Pal preferred.

The Canon body on which the readout = "error" was? I surmise that with the error message the camera wont operate at all, so no manual use possible.

Could be. I'm totally ignorant of Canon cameras or products. I sold it to a guy who was pretty sure he could make it work. I hope so, because it looks like new and comes in a very nice, well-made factory hard case. I've always had good luck with Sigma lenses.
