Photodex the company that brought the best slide show software went out of business after 30 years has been resurected by the programmers who wrote the original program. For information
www.photodex.com Software has many new features and is compatible with the old software. The name of the new program is Photopia.
Not according to my virus scan sw. I suggest that all stay clear of this. In particular, don't download anything from there.

I doubt it is an unsafe website. I explored - no virus warning from Malwarebytes or AVG. I had Norton for years, but grew tired of its plaguing warnings and interruptions. I'm not criticising, just responding about my surfing to the site.
Thanks for the post. I'm sure it was with good intentions.

I don't know what you saw? I just went to the proshow website and ordered the new program.

FREE for 21 days. $99.00 creator 1 year. I ordered Director $249/per year about the same price as proshow director but now has more features.

That would now be Creator $99.00 and more features than gold

It is the same people with the same program doing a bait-and-switch, in my opinion. They wanted to make more $$$ out of the program without necessarily doing any work. The old model forced them to come up with new features to entice people to open their wallets and upgrade. With the so-called subscription model, people are forced to pay
whether or not the software company does much in the way of improving the program. People are lulled by that age-old deceptive sales pitch - "only so much per month!! Why, you spend that on chewing gum every month!" How motivated are the companies to take care of customers or improve the product
when they already have you locked in? One notorious company that shall go nameless is enjoying annual passive income of $$$$$ billions, and people are happily contributing to that and angrily defending the company should any one raise questions about the hustle.
In addition, the guaranteed monthly revenue stream, divorced from any productivity, can be leveraged, borrowed against and invested, which is where the "real money" (actually the not so real money) is these days.
