Harlequin Bug Adult

Yesterday I posted a Harlequin Bug nymph that Bill (newtoyou) had sent to me for focus stacking sessions and this is an adult version of one. This dorsal view shows its vivid coloration quite well. I staged this session with a piece of pastel gradient paper placed a distance behind it and illuminated it with an LED lamp. The subject was placed under my goto method of diffusion of translucent drink cups and white paper towel.

I tried using drink cups for diffusing but I kept spilling my tea.......

I have been working my master plan for a while now. My better half and I bowl with friends on Thursday nights and I go to the bar and get myself a beer served in a translucent plastic cup. When the better half brings to my attention that I've already had two, I simply tell her that it's the only way that they will give me a cup so what else am I to do?

Now I know where you got 'sippyjug' from! I can't even contemplate drinking beer from a plastic cup. Can't you just buy them from a supermarket and enjoy your beer in glass?
