Climate change had nothing to do with it.

Brought back from memory banks that day in 1967, Chicago, when all the parked cars disappeared under the snow. Yes. Even closed down O'Hare (for the first time).

I remember that one, snow ploughs were hitting parked cars on the road because they couldn't see them.

Two bits of trivia from that time. Half of Chicago's snow removal equipment were on their way to help Peoria, Ill, at that time. And cars were moved to the centers of the avenues, so they could plow straight paths. (For the electric powered 'Trolley' buses using the catenary lines above.) People had a hard time finding their cars.

A lot of folks were out with their shovels to help anyone, regardless of their background. My buddy and I dug out nine cars. That meant from parking spot out to the nearest accessible Avenue.

PS., No doorbell cameras in operation back then.

Don't worry. It will melt.

Years ago, I used to plow driveways and parking lots with my Jeep every time it snowed, and I made decent money. Whenever I plowed, I kept thinking that I was doing a totally unnecessary job because all the snow would melt. Fortunately, human beings are impatient.

Maybe that's how long the video would be available for viewing. 24 hours then it's gone.

Yeah, the video's gone now. Something about a copyright dispute is all I see when I click the link.
