Sometimes Life Stinks

Sometimes life stinks...if you are a stink bug that is. This is one of my several preserved stink bugs and it is quite different from the more common Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs that I find here by the bushel. I don't know what variety this one is although it is much 'prettier' than the brown ones. I staged this one for a focus stacking session to play around with the camera's settings and to pass some time.

As always, thanks in advance to all who view and for your comments, suggestions, questions and critique.

Hello, Gary.
I may have sent you that in the last 'goodie box'.
It a nymph or the Harlequin Bug. They feed on cabbage and related plants.
Colors are the red, orange, black and yellow of many chemically armed insects.

Bill, I'm quite sure that it must be one of them for you sent several different sizes of the Harlequin Bugs. Your gift of specimens have provided me much pleasure along with a wonderful learning experience and most importantly a relief from cabin fever.

Kind of looks like a Trilobite.
