Going out with fellow 'buggy' camera bugs is fun in its own way, since you would share the common interest. The friendly chatter, the fact that there are extra eyes scanning and probing for insects. I have a friend here and we do this as often as he can get away. Our running joke is to learn who's eyes spotted the Most Important Find that day, and often enough it is my friend who did that.
Vacationing with family for me is in part a matter of 'escaping' while they do touristy things.
