It would be very tough to lose my sister. Hopefully your photos will bring you joy and remind you of a beautiful place. I just read about a wonderful pro photographer who generally leaves her most recent photos on a flash card for many months before she looks at them. She does so on purpose, thinking that she will be more objective about their quality is she waits. I especially like the deep blues of your skies.

Many thanks for your sympathy and interesting comments...I may try that idea with my last two camera's!!

Sounds like your sister was a lovely person. So sorry for your loss.
Great shots! Thanks for taking time to post them.

She was, Katy, and I miss her dearly...now 78, not many of my friends or siblings are alive and you cherish the few that are. Thank you for commenting.

I enjoyed seeing your images. The foreground elements you included in most of the images, give us a more intimate look at the wonders in Monument Valley compared to many of the 'wider' views of the Valley.

Well done, and best wishes in dealing with the death of your sister.

Thank you very much, JFCoupe...I appreciate your comments and the loss is not easy on this old man!!

I've been slow to process photos from my recent trip due to a death in the family. Just haven't had the desire to look and process them and still haven't uploaded images from two of the camera's. Anyhow, the funeral arrangements are being finalized and I will be leaving for southern California in the next day or two.

Here are a few from a quick look-see this morning.

Great shots of scenic Monument Valley. Both images are pleasing.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your sister. It is hard to focus at times like this. Hopefully these lovely shots help take your mind to more pleasant places.

I understand your loss. It's hard. But you do have some lovely images. I agree that the closer image of the old cedar tree is better. It has fewer distractions.
