continuing the theme, this one was boring and I just wouldn't let it go, but now it is on the edge of garish (perhaps it has even crossed the edge). One thing that I did was after the texture was placed, I dittoed the image layer and did screen and hid it with a mask and then I cut the mask out in the center with a soft round brush, and then I replaced the mask by painting it black again over the bird - anyway, all that to say I put some brightness behind it.

It looks attractive to me.

Not garrish at all. Considering the ruffled plumage I might have gone with more of the grunge look.

I think this is an excellent shot and a good use of background textures. Very nicely done.

Definitely another wallhanger! I think those are cute birds, but who in the heck named them?
