For no apparent reason my Canon R with an SD card fails to show any photos to import when attempting to import into LR. The camera viewfinder shows the images but won’t load showing in LR. Tried another card with previously shot images and they show. Also inserted the card into the reader as well as the computer SD slot with the same results. I feel my camera settings could be the issue, but hoped for some advice from others experience. Any help is much appreciated!
I'll be happy to check it for you. I have had some good success in previous situations. Send me a private message if you are interested.
Use File Explorer to actually look at the files on the card, rather than that photo program. There's probably a file compatibility problem with the photo program and the file format that the camera is recording to the card.
That's my WAG.
Good luck
Much thanks to the respondents on my problem. After much time looking in all the wrong places, I finally found the problem. This camera has a C RAW image quality mode. I initially selected this just to have more data expecting the same results as with regular RAW. After much searching, I had a notice telling me it would take addition software (or an app) to process this type image. When seeing this, I changed to RAW and the images loaded immediately. I love it when a plan comes together, especially the camera kind that can drive you crazy. Simple things can be the worst since we are prone to go off in all different directions.
