The Sun Inn, Dent in the Yorkshire Dales.
Very nice photographic work, Graham. It looks like a nice place to enjoy a pint or two.

The hardest part, Bob, was getting there, the picture was easy. It's a very remote place and a pint helps brace you for the journey home
It's nice to see they're making no attempt to look modern. The cobbles are a nice touch. My guess is they were the norm for that area.

It's in a national park so they can change nothing. Even in the larger villages some of the smaller back streets are still cobbled.
What a lovely place. It looks almost pristine!
Your photo of this pub makes me think along the lines of a sleeping giant. It must encompass the heartbeat of the community. At least from an Americans point of view, a scene like this in the states would include a disturbing amount of trash, so that in itself implies meticulous attention. And likely, a more responsible attitude towards littering.
Interesting photo and I agree with that philosophy. In my experience few places have a pub but many places have a bar.

This is England, almost every village has at least one pub, bars are found in some city centres. What I meant by "every village needs a pub" was that when showing pictures of a village you must show it's heart, it's pub

I was lamenting the loss of the pub here in the US. I pub is a place where friends meet to hoist a pint or two, exchange stories and gossip. Here pubs have become bars where strangers come in, have a drink or two and leave as lonely as when they arrive.

Indeed. I feel like the exposure is just perfect here. Bright contrasts and everything pops. Nice photo.

Where is this located, Graham? The only thing missing is Blind 'Arry.

Hello Steve, it is on the western side of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the north of England. If you put this postcode into Google Earth or similar mapping programme it will take you there LA10 5QP

Thanks, Graham. All I had to do was put them into Google search and it pulled it up.
