Just because the U.S. meddled in an Iranian election in the 1950's doesn't mean that we are at war with them today. At the same time they are at war with us. They have declared it many times going back at least 35 years, and they have backed it with their actions, though they are afraid to escalate it into open warfare because they know it would mean the end of the regime. I would be quite okay if we did openly declare war on them. At least that would be honest.

So you agree that the government of Mohammed Mosaddegh took power in a coup, stole the British oil interests, and that Mosaddegh was toppled in a counter coup.
