My 76th is later this month and I thinking about getting a Bridge Camera . I am a Sony shooter but can't afford the RX10 iv so I am looking at the Lumix fz1000 ii.
I love my DMC-ZS100 which is pocketable (for large pockets), and expect you will love the FZ1000 II. The 1" sensor and f/2.8-4 lens should serve you well.

I welcome any input.
How about the, soon to be released, Nikon coolpix 950. And, it is, cool.
Another vote for the just released Nikon Coolpix P950. It shoots in RAW or Jpeg and has a great focal length range. Great features for the money.
You just have to decide what sensor size/megapixels you need. The Coolpix sensor is smaller that the 1 inch sensor on some of the other cameras mentioned. If you never will be making large prints, you may not need the 1 inch sensor size.
Google sensor size pixels along the longest side and print sizes.
Can you say Panasonic he wants to know about a Panasonic!
He also asks for suggestions, I believe he can make up his own mind about options given, that is, why he came here in the first place. If his mind had been made up already, there would have been no need for him to post here. Panasonic is not the end all.

The Nikon Coolpix P950 has only a 1/2.3" sensor (not as good at low light as the 1") but a zoom with great range. While only having a zoom out to 1200 equiv, the Lumix DC-FZ80 is otherwise similar and MUCH less expensive.
