To a small Maple tree. Nighttime temps in the 30's, daytime in the 50's but still not cold enough to kill off these buds. Saw a Hover Fly on them yesterday but had no camera with me...

Sad story but the shot is fine. There is a tree across the street that starts to leaf out two or three times every spring only to catch a frost and have to start all over.

There was frost on the ground.... The large Maple trees in my front yard are heavy with buds as well, they just haven't opened... This was one from a few tears back...
