Happy to see all these positive and enthusiastic responses to KEH.
Thanks to all, and a belated Happy New Year!

Bought a "bargain" refurbished 300mm F4 lens from them last month at a good price. Came with 6 month warranty. Looked like new, works fine.
You have top wonder why some camera dealers make an effort to be bad.
This has been my experience. Every single item has been in a better grade than advertised.
I have not purchased anything from Keh, but after the reviews of this post, and others, would not hesitate to do so. Here is a general comment on how a retailer can succeed in business -- "Price may bring people in, but it is good service that brings them back in". It seems that Keh, B&H and others of their caliber understand this, while others, such of Abe's of not Maine, do not.

I agree with everyone that buying used gear from them is great. Their lenses are as good or better than their rating. I've purchased several. They do however tend to offer very low prices for items sold to them. Although it's probably based more on how well these items will sell rather than their condition.
Hmmmm, you found the appropriately unequal expense trade that wives make us think we're made for. Eat well and print better!

Duh. How do you think they, or any other business stays IN BUSINESS? Do you think they should sell below cost? They can't make it up on volume.
Of course they base a good part of what they pay on perceived demand, and I think they're in a place to call those decisions well.
But you probably believe the car dealer that sells you a car at his invoice price.

I know everyone who's been on UHH for awhile knows that KEH is a reputable place for used gear. But for those new people who don't know, I wanted to share my latest experience. I did a lot of research on getting a Nikon F100 film camera and settled on one from KEH rated "Excellent". It came in 2 days, free shipping. And the camera is in better than excellent condition. It doesn't look like it's ever been used. No scratches, no marks, no stickiness, all works perfectly. So if anyone new on here is looking for used gear, check out KEH!

It seems from my experience they intentionally down-grade their product by one score. One of Sam Walton's famous sayings was as a company it is important to exceed the customer's expectations. If KEH says it is an 8, more than likely it will be a 9 etc.
Bought two older (BGN) Hasselblad Lens from KEH, outside scratched, glass perfect.
