Playing around with the concept of "grunge." Really fun to do. Have included the "before" and "after" to see the difference. These are all screen shots. Anyone know some good "grunge" artists to learn from online? On the cars shot I also put borders on a couple, using ON1 2018 Effects. All processing done in LR to create the "grunge" look and then sent to PS to further define the look and to put backgrounds on using layers. The backgrounds were purchased or from my collection as I go out and take photographs. All images were shot recently in a town called Williams, just off I-5 in CA.

I like them, Connie. The various takes on the truck cabs especially....

I like these, though I think the truck cabs are the best. Besides that sort of thing appeals to me.
Thanks for the demo, Connie. You've offered a nice variety of subjects, but like Andy and Jerry, I think the truck cabs are the standouts and really showcase the effect.
I have no suggestions for online learning as I've never been a particular fan of the look. You might convert me, though

I like all these, especially the first and last. Old vehicles are great subjects to create grunge looks with.
I have done a couple of courses from Sebastian Michaels that I really enjoyed and learned a lot from. Started with Photoshop Artistry which used to be named Grunge Composition or something like that. The instruction is straightforward and the extra resources that go along with the courses make them an exceptionally good value.
I too can recommend Sebastian Michaels course - and he has other conceptual art photo courses you may enjoy. For grunge filters you might try DeviantArt.com where some are free. It’s a popular genre and one that could hook you Connie!
By the look of your post, you’re pretty adept at the game already - they all look great to me.
Very nice and fun, especially the truck cabs.
I admire your spirit of experimentation on what can be difficult subjects. Keep it up!
